The 70 or so people in attendance chanted “No Trump, no KKK, no fascist U.S.A” as they crossed the Intracoastal Waterway on Southern Boulevard.

“Rule number one is we are peaceful protesters,” said Corryn Freeman, who works for attorney Pam Keith’s congressional election team.

Keith, a Democrat who is running for Republican Brian Mast’s seat in the U.S. House, spoke at the rally about Trump and said the president has “embarrassed and shamed us.”

The rally against hate came as a response after a news conference at which Trump said “both sides” were to blame for the violent protests in Charlottesville.
