NEW: Wreck closes Jupiter bridge along U.S. 1


A car wreck closed the U.S. 1 bridge Friday afternoon, town police said.

Crews were working to repair the bridge, police said in a post at about 1:45 p.m.

Southbound traffic from Tequesta is being re-routed to southbound Alternate State Road A1A. Northbound traffic is being directed to take a U-turn before the bridge or to take Alternate A1A to Indiantown Road.
