After Hurricane Irma: These parks are open in Wellington, Royal Palm


With the amount of debris left behind by Hurricane Irma, it’s no wonder it’s taken awhile for crews to clear out the many parks in Wellington, Royal Palm Beach and nearby communities.

But there’s some good news: Many parks and recreation facilities are reopening.

Here’s the latest on what’s already open and what’s opening soon.

WELLINGTON
Open Thursday

Wellington Community Center: Resumes normal activities and hours of operation, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday-Sunday

Tiger Shark Cove: Playground reopens for regular hours, dawn to dusk; scheduled activities resume Saturday

Scott’s Place Playground: Reopens regular hours, dawn to dusk

Dog Park: Reopens at 3 p.m. 

Wellington Green Park: Reopens regular hours

Wellington Community Park: Regularly scheduled activities resume Saturday
