Want FREE ice cream today? Dr. Seuss can help you get it

It's hard not to love Hoffman's Chocolates — especially when they're celebrating Read Across America Day with free ice cream.

Yep. You read that right. Today, March 2 is Dr. Seuss's birthday. That means it's also Read Across America Day. And that means it's FREE ice cream day at a local favorite.

Your task is simple. Be the coolest book nerd* in town by bringing in a new or gently used book to Hoffman's for a free scoop of ice cream.

For the free cherry on top? Or sprinkles? Or gummy bears?! Make it a Dr. Seuss book!

All books will be donated to Jack & Jill Children's Center.

*Fun Fact: There's no documented reference of the word nerd before Dr. Seuss wrote it to describe a yellow-and-white-haired sourpuss in the book If I Ran the Zoo
