Earth Day is every year on April 22. The intention is to raise awareness about the planet we live in. Sure, some people are hesitant to believe in things such as global warming, pollution and endangered species. But others are convinced humans are to blame. 

Regardless of your beliefs, Earth is our home and if we don’t take care of it, who will? Here’s a list of Earth Day activities around Palm Beach County so you can get involved and learn more about the blue planet.

Earth Day Celebration

Where: South Florida Science Center and Aquarium, 4801 Dreher Trail North, West Palm Beach

Party for the Planet

Party for the Planet will be filled with educational, engaging and fun activities for the entire family.Eco-friendly crafts and animal encounters. Music and face-painting. Activities are free with Zoo admission.

Great American Cleanups

Where: Several locations throughout Palm Beach County. For the full list and details, click here and scroll down.

  • To volunteer, fill out, scan and email the Registration Form to the Volunteer Coordinator, or print and bring with you the day of your project.

When: All clean-up opportunities start at 8:00 a.m. for ages 12 and up. Free to volunteer, but must register.

Earth Day at Okeeheelee Nature Center

Everyone will be there: FWC, Palm Beach Zoo, Audubon, Beekeepers, FL Trails, Pack N Paddle and others. There will be three presentations, a BBQ, and arts and craft activities.

Earth Day Fashion Show by Honey Delray and Nomad
