An evening of environmental awareness and art

No one person can save the world, but we can all do something for the greater good! Start 2018 on the right track by learning a bit more about going “green” by attending tonight’s Art After Dark event at the Norton Museum of Art. West Palm Beach’s Office of Sustainability program coordinators will be speaking on “How To Live Greener,” artist Justin Brice Guariglia will talk about his “Earth Works” exhibition on display, in addition to a performance from local band Public Sounds Collective. Don’t miss what’s bound to be an exciting evening of conversation and art!

Run for the panther

Ready to lose those extra holiday pounds? Make good on that new year’s resolution to get in shape and support a worthwhile cause all at once this Saturday in West Palm Beach. Palm Beach Zoo will be hosting its annual Save the Panther 5K race this Saturday morning with all proceeds benefitting the zoo’s relationship with Florida Wildlife Corridor, which helps protect Florida panthers. Sign up early to save some extra cash and make it a race to remember!

Chamber music at Whitehall

As a classical music fan, what could be better than hearing the sound of strings amid the Gilded Age surroundings of Henry Flagler’s Whitehall? This Tuesday, the award-winning and Julliard School trained Tesla Quartet opens the 2018 Flagler Museum Music Series with pieces by Beethoven and Bartók. Guests can enjoy a champagne and dessert reception with the musicians following the performance, so it’s a perfect choice for the first date night of the new year!
