Palm Beach County workers returned to their usual spot as the highest-paid in Florida during the second quarter, according to statistics released Tuesday by the U.S. Labor Department.
The county’s average weekly wage was $1,002 for April, May and June, up 3.7 percent from the same period in 2016. Miami-Dade County ranked second at $978 a week.
However, Palm Beach County wages remain below the national average of $1,020.
In the first quarter, Palm Beach County ranked an uncharacteristic third among Florida counties, trailing Miami-Dade and Hillsborough counties in average weekly wages.
