Palm Beach County’s first medical marijuana shop to open Tuesday

Knox Medical said it will open the first cannabis dispensary in Palm Beach County at noon Tuesday. The location is at 1 S. Dixie Highway in Lake Worth, just across the street from city hall.

Palm Beach County’s second dispensary is set to open a few blocks north in Lake Worth, but that facility still awaits regulatory approval.

Since Florida voters approved medical marijuana in 2016, nearly 50,000 people have received doctors’ permission to use cannabis for conditions such as cancer and chronic pain.
